Sharif was hurt during a recent practice session atthe team’s training camp.The second Asian Test Championship will be held from September 2001 toJanuary 2002. The duration ofthe camp will be about 45 days during summer and 20 days duringwinter. About 20 boys, below 18 years of age, will be selected foreach centre from the seven districts allotted for that particularcentre. Two or three coaches will be appointed to each centres. FormerTest cricketer Bharath Reddy will be the director and former Stateplayer Peter Fernandez from Coimbatore will be a co-opted member ofthe academy.
